@Ed Kapuscinski and I talked to Ken (the guy in their videos) and he was super nice. He said as soon as the tooling is done on the T1, so...good!
I showed him pics of my weathered M1, and thanked them for finishing the race.

We also talked about those shoes...One vendor bought out their entire first run.

So, to all those folks out there being negative and such over the shoes...don't be! These shoes will give them money to invest in more steam!

Here's a Clerihew about Ed. K.

Ed Kapucinski
Every night, he plants a new tree.
But mention his law
and you've pulled your last straw!

Alternate version:
Ed Kapucinski
Every night, he plants a new tree.
He asks excitedly "Did you say Ménage à Trois?"
No, I said "Ed's Law."

And that's exactly what he said he wanted to do. To use those to pay the overhead so they can do the stuff they love.

According to BLI's facebook page the ES44's are shipping out now.  They should show up at dealers Real Soon Now.

I got an email from BLI saying the GEVOs will be stateside this week. The email said there will be 11 paint schemes. Thinking that was an odd number to have I checked their website. They are doing the NS heritage units accept the Monongahlia. Also no CSX and BNSF.

Hopefully that steam expands to other railroads like the iconic santa fe! Remember the old adage in n scale, if you slap Santa fe on it, itll sell!

I wish they'd learn better lighting.  :|

Really missed the mark across the board trying to color match the handrails.

So, while I don't have any interest in these, I'm just curious... is the market for ES44s big enough to support three manufacturers making them (four if you count brass)?

Also, I've got to laugh: BLI, as a "premium" manufacturer, chooses to pose their products on Unitrack?

@David K. Smith maybe they don't have any autographed photos of Jonathan Frakes?

I'd say only in that these come RTR with sound.  The FVM and Kato ES44's both take work to get a sound decoder fitted so these will appeal to those who don't feel their skills are up to the task or who don't have the time or desire to devote to a sound installation.
