Model railroading isn't saving my life, but it's providing me moments of joy not normally associated with my current situation..... Train are good!

I hope its the North Coast Limited. Couldn't they use their existing smoothside cars? How about the F-3 and F-7's?  Wouldn't that be the cheapest route for Kato? Green paint is all they need .

While I'm not holding my breath, the NCL would be a "big announcment" for many. I'd be first in line for a correct version of this iconic consist. They would have to tool some new cars for it however.

I , for one, could care less if it wasn't correct, as long as its close. BTW , I have the full 15 car Empire Builder with an ABBA  set of F-7's on the point and it is an awesome site watching it lean into a superelevated 28'' rad. curve at a scale 60 mph on my layout. For a foob , it  gets attention on my layout when visitors see it and they don't know the difference anyways.
So bring on the foob NCL Kato.

I could not agree more.  Does it have the right feel?  If the answer is yes than I am all over it!

Can you even get clams from Lake Erie? They don't sound that appetizing. Now, a po boy make with Cherrystones sounds mighty tasty at the moment.

I don't know, but you can definitely get crabs in Dayton.

Please no.  There's no reason not to do it correctly.  Please don't ruin it for those of us that do care!

A passenger train is much more than its paint scheme.  Each railroad specified its own equipment, its own accommodations, its own amenities, its own signature lounges, domes, diners, etc.  There's history there that should be honored with proper models.  Not just the same plastic blocks painted in whatever scheme-du-jour.
