I started painting the track in York. Amazing the difference it makes. (Attachment Link) While doing it, I also added some foamcore to bring the level of the ground around Pershing Ave up to the correct level for future street running. This is a bit of a tossed together mockup of how it'll look. Ignore the GP35 lurking in the background. (Attachment Link)
Looking better Ed, now get to ballasting that track.
Ed, that stone house there... It's a single casting. I had one on the old Juniata Division but I can't even begin to remember where I got it or who made it. Do you remember? I'd love to buy another and use it on a Lancaster module.
Progress comes in many forms. I like this one, but those styrene streets need some sanding I think, if you are using the DKS method for simulating pavement.
Thanks. And I agree. Don't worry, this is just the beginning. I actually have a TERRIBLE idea about what to do for road textures... we'll see how it goes.
Looking great Ed. I really like the feel of that York scene with the tower still trimmed in PC jade green.
Does it involve grout
Interestingly enough, no.
