Actually, this reminds me of a Minarets 2-8-2T that was used for lots of logging operations. Just make the bunker area and pilot a bit longer and this would be about there. Hmmm..the possibilities!

I thought the same thing.
I've literally spent many, many hours working as a child on the restoration of two 1:1 Minarets.
Some obvious things outside of the valve gear, driver diameter and lack of lead and trailing axles, which also had very small wheel diameters, the tank would need to be cut back from the smoke box, the cab reduced in length and the aforementioned lack of a larger oil bunker.

I agree.  For a joke, that 0-8-0T looks likes something that someone, somewhere, could easily have had.  If it had been presented as a serious model, I wouldn't have questioned it.

LOL!  Maybe rare in U.S. but tank locos were plentiful in Europe.  There are several 0-8-0T,  0-6-0T, and even 0-10-0T N scale models also available.

0-6-0T was IIRC, made by Fleischmann and Roco, but it is doscontinued and a quick search did not reveal any photos.
And this one if flame-less industrial loco (the boiler was actually a steam storage tank).

You are right about that. And all the models I have are really good runners.
Might take some photos later....

Now Arriving at Retro Union Station, Track 2, the Crescent Limited.  Bound for Charlotte, Atlanta and New Orleans!

Just in time for Virtual Jazz Fest!

https://www.wwoz.org/

Tune in to this year's broadcast of past Jazz Fest great performances, and drop a few coins in the bucket to keep the Guardians of the Groove alive and well during our temporary break in the action...

I just received the Model Power set today.  It probably hails from the early 90s, so not as retro as the Arnold locomotive, which is 1968 vintage.  But it was complete in the original package, including factory air, and loose metal wheelsets to replace the badly rendered plastic pizza cutters that rendered the cars virtually inoperable.  It's gliding along the final leg of the trip with a couple of coaches and a combine, and the Observation Car "Ronald Reagan" bringing up the rear.  I guess I'll need to spring for some Pullmans and a diner, and maybe a mail car or two.

A color-coordinated passenger train. I love it Lee!
Those Model Power cars are probably cheap Chinese clones of either Rivarossi or Lima cars, but if they look good, and run good, who cares.  :)

I saw the full set on Ebay for a reasonable price, and already had the engine from an estate haul, so I figured, what the heck!?!

It does make me wish I had more room to model Richmond Broad Street Station, though.  While the Crescent never visited, it was a built on a giant loop with multiple tracks and platforms... it would make a fun subject for a hollow core door...

The New York Central had a pair of tank locos that were assigned to yard service in Dickenson Yard here in WV.

While the specific Model Power China copies of the Lima PRR PBM and P70 cars may post date the Revell/Rapido 4-6-2 the Lima originals date back to the earliest days of AHM N Scale so they certainly are not out of place!!

Peteski:  That last 0-10-0 looks like something my narrow gauge might be interested in.  A Z scale, with an N scale body, and lots of extra weight, would be a perfect loco for heavy freight service on the southern end of my line.  Plenty of tractive effort uphill, and braking power downhill.

I wouldn't mind having a model of the Hartzer Schmalspur Bahnen's 0-10-0s.
