Starting this early because this is a first test of me doing it via iPhone . I actually had to shoot an image of my pc with my iPhone because I couldn't link the email image .

My modelling is actually done already.  Poured the Thompson River last night, painting and texture for waves is next.

I know this was discussed here long ago along with links to where it was and how it was used. Doubt I could find the post though.

Yeah, I tried a couple searches but couldn't find it.  My memory says there's a commuter station to the upper left?

edit: Here's the location.  The map has a 2017 date on it.  I think it looked different when we had it here before.

I am finally wrapping up a project I started almost 2 years ago. A pair of Utah Belt SD50s (N Scale) for a good friend in Chicago. I got the new LokSound 73100 and a 9x16mm speaker in each one. They sound amazing. I need to finish painting the diesel caps and adding a little exhaust soot and then into the mail they go.

Engines look fabulous . Years ago the UB was in a mag ,and one of the highlights that I liked was the open staging .

Today I added a steam generator vent and stack to a Walthers RS2. Also removed the long hood diamond and put it on the cab as delivered.

Very nice!  Where did you get the steam generator parts? Years ago I added those to my Atlas B&M RS-3 but I don't remember who makes these (assuming that they are still available).

EDIT: never mind - I looked in your HCD layout thread - you scrratchbuilt them.  But it looks like Shapeways version is available.

Since I remember. The stack is .080" wide styrene filed to shape with a hole drilled on top. The vent is a .060x.060" base with a .015" thick cap cut to a .090x.090" square, the 4 edges were rounded with sandpaper.

Thanks Chris!  Easy enough to make these.
