I started off my ...and says "I see you've been to 7 Eleven today! I went yesterday!"

Did you ever hear the term "topic sentence"?
Other people don't really care about your dietary preferences.
And, besides that, most of the rest of us prefer beer, steak, and dark chocolate... or in some cases even bacon.

No one has picked up on the fact that it is an 0-4-2? It makes sense that PC would try to keep that one running, considering its bass-ackwards management.
Failing to prepare is preparing to fail.

My latest project. My version of Hwy 101. (It is still a work in process - excuse the glue cup)- I still need to blend in better - the oil stains down the middle of the lanes.

Thanks,
Wolf

In the transition era I THINK the oil stains were worse than today , but there were new streets made then too . If you stage an accident , hmmm acciDENT , then you would have an excuse to fill the whole street , bumper to bumper . You could also have people standing on running boards trying to get a glimpse of what's up . Looks nice so far .

For the second weekend in a row we were able to do some train watching. I was running some errands with the kids while mom was having a spa day. We were in near Saginaw, Tx and stopped for a little bit. I also bought a table saw on Craigslist a few weeks back. It was new in box but the guy never assemblied it and it sat for a few years in his shop. Which is good for me as I got a deal on it. This will come in handy for when I start building bench work for the next layout  :D

Hmm... are you all bats
hanging from the cave
ceiling...?

Two scientists create a teleportation ray, and they try it out on a cricket. They put the cricket on one of the two teleportation pads in the room, and they turn the ray on.
The cricket jumps across the room onto the other pad.

@bnsf dash 8 - do you have enough decals there?

I have exactly enough for 9 cars, I hope I don't screw up.

Most of the photos I have found show a pretty good oil stain down each lane. I still need to fade mine out a bit. They are a bit dark for my taste.  Hmmmm, an accident... I'll give that some thought.

Thanks,
Wolf

Let there be ( O scale ) trees !  I needed to reclaim some space in the shed so I pulled out all the sedum I have drying for on the O scale layout and separated/sorted all of it.  Pic with 4 boxes is mostly larger trees and the pic with 2 boxes is smaller trees and pieces that I can use to add branches etc to the larger trees.

I built the yard extension this morning, so the framework for the entire table is built.  Overall dimensions are 6' x 14'.  While I have the lauan plywood and 2" foam that I need to build the tabletop (i.e., subroadbed), I ran out of steam and won't be accomplishing that tonight.  However, everything from the L-girders down is built and installed.

Disappointed that I couldn't get some track down this weekend, I lugged the plywood and foam sheets to the basement and plopped them on the layout, so I could run a train!

Here's a Clerihew about Ed. K.

Ed Kapucinski
Every night, he plants a new tree.
But mention his law
and you've pulled your last straw!

Alternate version:
Ed Kapucinski
Every night, he plants a new tree.
He asks excitedly "Did you say Ménage à Trois?"
No, I said "Ed's Law."
