Anyone else notice that the M1 is missing from the Jan 2016  RMC add?
Does this mean BLW is giving up hope of ever getting it to us?

Been waiting for this too long -- their announcement has kept other manufacturers form even considering making a M1.

Sorry to be negative but I've been waiting for this loco for a LONG time.

@djconway I know it's easy to get discouraged about this particular product. Hopefully it just means that they haven't gotten the production units in hand to photograph yet. I know they have the pre-production unit, but its headlamp got knocked loose, and I'm sure it has suffered other travel related injuries in the last several months. The drop date is still January. Until that changes, I'm doing my best to maintain cautious optimism.

BLI updated their Delivery Schedule page on November 25th, but it was just for some HO items that showed up in stores - L1s, I1sa, etc. No real change to any of the other pending items.  I imagine there will be a real update later in December.  Watch for more slippage then.

If memory serves me, BLI did have a painted sample of the M1 at Trainfest. And while I'm not the smartest when it comes to manufacturing, I'd imagine that a painted sample is usually a good sign (especially when you consider that the M1 wasn't pushed forward again when the delivery schedule was changed).

They've been displaying that M1 sample since Sacramento over the summer. That was its first show, and the headlamp had already been knocked loose.

My N Scale Magazine came today. The BLI ad says that the M1 and Centipede will be here Summer, 2015! Huzzah, they're going back in time to get us our lokies faster!

 

The N Scale Railroading ad, which is otherwise exactly the same, says "Winter 2015". I think that's still optimistic...

I think somebody forgot to change 2015 to 2016. Summer or winter, who knows? Because this winter still feels like summer.

Their delivery schedule page still says January. I think they either sent an old ad over, or NSM used the wrong file when they put the magazine together.

May have too  -  My Minitrex bash killed 2 "K4's" and never resulted in a working E or M
Not hold my breath for BLI -- Life and modeling go on, with or without them.

There's a brass M1 on eBay right now, for anyone who really can't wait!

Of course, if you can wait, you can get three or four for the same price, with DCC and sound.
