Unfortunately if you look at the Delivery Schedule page, nearly everything is "Yes" to "Still Accepting Orders", even stuff that's been delivered months ago.  So I doubt that's a good criteria about production.

It just has to be accepted that it will get here when it gets here.  I just like to keep in touch for budget planing purposes.

The few items I have been tracking were updated to no shortly before they shipped.  Can't say I have tracked every single item on the schedule.

Even though I'm an SPF who loves steam, I don't need or want an M1.

In a new update marked September 29, 2015 the E6/E7/E8's are marked as "In Stores Now".  I checked Walther's online and they are listed in stock also so they should be showing up at M.B. Klein's, BLW, Feather River, etc pretty soon.

The rest of the schedule is unchanged.  Still M1a/b's in December, Centipedes in November.

John,
Just got an email from Pete at BLW saying my PM E7 has shipped.

I'm still breathing so this means my pacemaker is working.

Regards, Mark

And they're posted in both BLW and M.B. Klein as of last night.  So it must be true.  Although the M1a/b is what i'm really waiting for.  At least I have a EMD E B unit now.

Could someone please post pictures of the Pensy and IC units? I'd like to see their color.

Thank!

Saw the IC units at a show Sunday. Wow! Glad I did not pre-order them. Its probably just me, but I thought the grey they used is too dark. I understand why they decided to use grey, I just think they should have gone with a much lighter shade. Again, its probably just me. Bummer.

Time to get a couple Kato Es and some paint!

M1s slipped to January.

It's worth noting that every time the schedule slips, it slips by a little less each time.  The optimist would suggest that at some point the delivery schedule and the calendar date will converge.  The mathematician might suggest that the calendar appears to be asymptotic to the delivery schedule.

We're well into the second decade of expecting these locomotives...for whatever it's worth.

You knew it was coming, right?  and @Dave Vollmer  beat me to it. :D

Updated November 2nd, 2015

E7A/B due - Delivered!!!!

Baldwin Centipedes due July 2015 now August 2015 still September 2015 now October 2015 still November 2015 now January 2016.

PRR M1a/b due August 2015 now Fall 2015 (!) now October 2015 still November 2015 still December 2015 now January 2016.

K7a stock cars due Fall 2015 still November 2015 still December 2015 now January 2016.

NYC Box cars due Fall 2015 still November 2015 now December 2015 still January 2016 moved to December 2015.

New run of ALCo PA/PB still Spring 2016 not May 2016 (and the catalog page now says Spring 2016)
[/quote]

So, as Dave says, the M1a/b's have slipped another month.  The Centipedes slipped two.  The NYC Box cars moved a month closer! and the PA/PB's have amore defined date.

I'm betting these will all slip again. I just hope it doesn't slip up to Chinese New year, which will mean a nearly automatic 2 month delay.

It's worth noting that every time the schedule slips, it slips by a little less each time.

Looking at John's message above, the last several delays (for Centipede, M1, K7a) seem to be by a month, not little less each time.  Seems pretty linear to me.  :)  No, I'm not trying to be negative - strictly looking at the numbers.

Hopefully, these delays are to make the models better, not just ordinary production issues.

It's a little hard to tell, but the dates are not strictly month to month.  Any time you see a "still" that implies at least once that the date didn't change so take that into account when computing the change in slip rate.

For example, the Centipedes have a "still November 2015" before the recent slip to January, IIRC there was a two update period where that was true.

Ah, got it.  While I do have a pair of Centipedes reserved (strictly because they are wicked cool looking locos), I don't really have a horse in this race.
