After nearly eight months construction time (due in large part to omissions in the "grand plan") the compressed model of the ATSF roundhouse at Bakersfield, CA is finished. The foundation of the structure will be its own model. Thanks to help from several Railwire folks, have been able to obtain some great interior pics of the RH, and since I made the structure removable, detailing will be able to be done much easier. Happy to have met my time goal of getting done before my 65th birthday (May 24). This will probably be my last large model, time does not discriminate, and the eyes and hands are telling me that its time to back off on project scale. My thanks to all members who have provided information and those who offered kind comments. Have built quite a few roundhouses in 50 years of this great hobby, this is my first of an all concrete structure, and has been a wonderful challenge.Robert
