Wow Cody, those look amazing!  And the BNSF and FEC diesels are looking really sharp, too.

My actual modeling has all been in Large-Scale this week...

But in N, I got sick of waiting for Kato to wake up and do NS SD40-2s, so I gave my money to a couple eBay sellers instead, and wasn't disappointed.

Back when I was with Model Railroad News and in regular contact with the guys behind Kato USA, I suggested to them that their brass should hurry up and do a 2-pack of NS SD40-2s as a Horseshoe Curve helper set... before NS replaces most of them, and gives up that market share to Atlas' SD50 model!  But what can I say, northeastern logic doesn't sell in Japan...

Still needs some touch up. I may re do the interlocking machine on the inside. Have to add window shades, too.

No, I said "Ed's Law."

After nearly eight months construction time (due in large part to omissions in the "grand plan") the compressed model of the ATSF roundhouse at Bakersfield, CA is finished. The foundation of the structure will be its own model. Thanks to help from several Railwire folks, have been able to obtain some great interior pics of the RH, and since I made the structure removable, detailing will be able to be done much easier. Happy to have met my time goal of getting done before my 65th birthday (May 24). This will probably be my last large model, time does not discriminate, and the eyes and hands are telling me that its time to back off on project scale. My thanks to all members who have provided information and those who offered kind comments. Have built quite a few roundhouses in 50 years of this great hobby, this is my first of an all concrete structure, and has been a wonderful challenge.

don't mind the two GP9s - Atlas Bay Colony engines:

Are they being rebranded to Seminole Gulf Railway?
There's a shyness found in reason
Apprehensive influence swallow away
You seem to feel abysmal take it
Then you're careful grace for sure
Kinda like the way you're breathing
Kinda like the way you keep looking away

Here is what has been on mine this week. I had the depot built but finally got around to making a template and getting it mounted and soon to be installed next to the Used Car Lot.

“When I was 5 years old, my mother always told me that happiness was the key to life.
When I went to school, they asked me what I wanted to be when I grew up.
 I wrote ‘happy’.
They told me I didn’t understand the assignment, and I told them they didn’t understand life.”
