Kato would need to update their 70ACe tooling to 2012 specs with the isolated cab and inverter cabinet details before they can do them...

Considering the non-isolated cab hasn't been built since 2006-07 I'd say it's time to update the tooling along with provide for the SD70M-2 (inverter cabinet needs to be changed).

That means nothing to Kato. Like Lee said. They could use the exiting tooling and still sell a ton of them. You can hope, but don;t hold your breath.

I like these Heritage units, especially the Conrail unit which works really well, but the graphics, colours and style are all old school to me.  I kind of like the current NS scheme.

Nice to see the ACe's coming out now.  I'd love to see Kato update the ACe details, but I won't hold my breath.

Scott, I don't mind the current NS look either, but I think it requires more than one color to be called a 'scheme.' I would call it 'black with a logo.'

Hey, I do like their current scheme...maybe just bring the faux-aluminium stripe on the bottom back, and have the horse go into that; oh well, I have Art2 Graphic Design this year, and if there's one thing I've learned, graphic design is a lottttttttttttt tougher than it would appear...but anyways, the S&A unit is still BEAUTIFUL

I can say with certainty there never was plans to do a NH unit. *Note, the images in the link are what NS took as inspiration for the fleet, there will be 10 GEVOs and 10 ACes*

That's not the official list however.

New Haven was one of the ones originally considered but was dropped. They may add an Erie Lackawanna and add the TAG unit back in, but nothing has been announced so far.
