I think he wanted a picture of the interior of the cab act, rather than the locomotive. From the one that I’ve seen, there is not dedicated space for a speaker. You would probably need to remove some of the interior to install one unless the bottom is hollow and I just didn’t realize it (I don’t actually own any).

I guess my mind just didn't process putting a sound decoder in a cab car. I guess the only use would be the bell and horn.

Can anyone please post a photo of the cab car with removed shell?
I'm intrested if there is a speaker mounting spot and how the  decoder slot looks like.

There is room for a speaker (at least that is what makes sense to me) behind the cab area of the cab car. You cannot see this area from the outside, through a window, so makes a great speaker hiding spot. Decoder itself is Next18, secured to the bottom of the top row of lights with an adhesive tape of some sort. It comes off easy enough. Top row of lights can be unscrewed with a small screwdriver (Phillips head screws).

Yes exactly. I don't like when a train is pushed and the sound of the bell is 7 cars away.

Perfect! thank you. Looks like enough space for a speaker and also a nice plug&play solution for a sound decoder.

I'm still waiting for my AMT train to ship... Also I haven't seen any AMT stuff on youtube or in reviews...

We are aware of the problem with the slow initial speed of these units and are trying to determine what is causing it.  The preproduction samples did not exhibit this issue, so we have to go through and try and determine what has changed.  As it happens with both DC and DCC versions, it is not a decoder programming problem.  I will post as soon as we figure it out, we have it narrowed down to a couple of possibilities and are working with the factory to determine which one(s) it could be. As others have posted, the speed tends to pick up as the model runs, but after it sits a while the issue returns.

As far as what has shipped - everything, locos, cars, sets, AMT and NJT all shipped at the same time.

Like Tom said, you linked to the page as [IMG].  You can use the page link but it won't show the picture unless the reader clicks on the link.  And you can't use it inside the [IMG]

If you want to display the actual photos like I did for you, you need to use the direct link of the photo inside the [IMG].  You can find the direct link by right clicking the photo and "Copy Link".  Then paste that link inside the [IMG].  I'm using Windows but it should be similar in MacOS.
