I think that's just black, rather than DGLE. It looks like the Tuscan just fills in areas on the locomotive that would just normally be grey, so I don't think they repainted the black parts.

The EL and PRR Heritage units are wraps.  The CNJ unit is painted.  You can see photos I took on Saturday here

If it's the same as the HO version, you have to unscrew and remove the couplers, then there are tabs on the sides of the body/chassis in between the trucks.

Thanks, I did try removing the couplers and inserting skinny screwdrivers between the shell and chassis to free up any tabs. Still won't budge.

Finally figured it out - after you remove the couplers and separate the shell tabs from the chassis, you then have to insert a screwdriver between the shell and the skirt details at the front and back and pry up a bit. The shell pops off after that.

It is very cool to watch these monsters glide into Newark Penn Station on the catenary, then drop the pantograph, rev up the diesel, and roar off.

I really have to hand it to Atlas customer service. Before I figured it out myself, I'd sent them an email asking for some guidance on removing the shell. And much to my surprise, someone from Atlas actually called me the next morning. Was not expecting that fast of a response, let alone an actual phone call. So, good on them.

Currently running mine, with @ChristianJDavis1 DC loco. My DCC sound one works great. I will give a full in-depth review as I can get photographs. The ML cars look and run great, ran them for a few hours already. They require fine tuning to run fantastic, but nothing that will prevent them from running normally. Here are some basic photos, I will upload more detailed ones later along with a more full review.

Don't the ditchlights light together with the headlight on the cab car?
Or have you already installed a decoder?

Has anyone unpacked the AMT version yet?
