Received my first PRR P70 interior printing and tried out lead ball shot in the car cavities for some low added weight.  thge car now weights 1.20 oz.

The interior uses a 1/2" wide x 0.025" thick brass strip under it to replace the original steel weight in the car, but now the interior sits way lower than before for a nice look inside the car.

Would like to see a large side-on shot of the interior. Are there armrests?

Smoken’ Joe D’Amato sent me a new old kit as a gift…a Micro Trains Box Factory kit. Well, I don’t have a need for a box factory, but the Shell Oil depot needs an office. I have been looking at vintage photos of Shell buildings, and they seem to be all white with red trim. I sprayed the kit with Velspar satin white and Velspar tool box red….

I haven’t finished it yet, I test fit the roof tonight and I need to add the corner trim…

I also need to load the dock with 55 gallon oil drums…

Yes. Hard to see but the seats have armrests and are suspended from the floor.  I will be painting this soon.

Very late to the party but Peteski just helped me with my photo uploading problems.

Here is the original bridge across the Chicago River.

Here is the CMR lift bridge in progress.

Pockets cut into benchwork and cross-over removed.

The pockets trimmed out with cut down Chooch bridge abutment and Evergreen styrene.

Bridge installed and, yes, that is a fireboat sitting by the Traffic Courthouse clock tower.

The bridge was painted with Model Master rattle can flat black and weathered with two applications of Pan Pastel Burnt Sienna followed by Dullcoat after each application which gives it a nice dark brown patina.  Track and scenery have been completed since these photos and trains are running through the bridge.  More photos next weekend, I hope.
Best regards,

Roger

Thank you very much!!

Here are some in progress photos -- pictures are worth.... LOL (after painting, I added Plano side grills, windshield wipers, the nose ladder grabs, coupler lift bars and the wind deflectors/mirrors)

Thanks again,
Wolf

And the armrests are even with the bottom of the window?

No.  The seats are not quite "seated" in my photo. they will drop about 0.045" from what you see.
