Completed 3 N-scale Wabash passenger cars (shown in-progress last week).
Baggage 346  (Wheels of Time)

Cafe-Lounge 1565  (Micro-Trains)

12-1 Pullman Dorchester  (Micro-Trains)

As noted last week, Tru-Color paint, Gary Roe decals, with the main Wabash/Pullman lettering individually lettered to get the spacing right.

The color difference from last week's shot is entirely due to different lighting.  It's the same paint.

I'm sorry Dave, I'm afraid I can't do that.

The transformer at work blew out so I get a day off in the middle of 12 days straight. Scratch built these buildings for my little HOn30 layout

And then painted them

Followers may remember the little dump truck that failed. After two tries, I just couldn't get the animation right, so I replaced it with a whole new dump truck with a different mechanism that worked the way I wanted. But what of the little dumper that tried? It's been repurposed for a related but different new animation:

True, the wheels don't turn; they'll be hidden behind piles of material.

Pretty damn accurate movement of the tail gate, and that's coming from a guy who actually does this to get everything out of the bed. My only suggestion is the bed should be at a higher angle.

The Diet Pepsi train head end is basically complete. I want to red the handrail paint on the loco. I tried to do them by hand but it didn’t turn out so well.

Funny timing.  I go out this morning at 6 a.m. and hear exactly the same noise.  There is a Dollar Store just to the north of us and I walk up there and the garbage truck has one of the large dumpsters overhead and he is banging it back and forth to try and get it to empty.

Great job on the animation,

A couple of recent projects for me were the Seaboard F-unit and the second hole on the Southern Pines Golf Club:

Nice shot! I'm guessing that the head of the young woman in the yellow shirt is blurry due to an image stacking artifact. Funny, but it looks like either she was moving her head quickly during the shot, or it's a Google street view with identity protective pixilation.

DKS,

I think that the golf club in the sand trap, the flag, and the face of the golfer holding the flag are all also artifacts.  I was too lazy to reshoot, and I never learned how to use PhotoShop.  I thought the blurred faces were funny.  Clearly, Helicon has an automatic privacy setting.  Haha!

Well you know your modelling has reached a high level of realism when photo software starts applying identity protection !

That is a great scene, Dave.    Yet still, the first thing I see is still a great big law suite waiting to happen ..... something regarding lack of fencing between the golf course and the tracks.  (And I am not even a lawyer   )

Nor a golfer either, but that looks like a might big back swing for being that close to the pin !

The prototype has no fence, and I don’t want to block the view.

Sometimes customers bring in some cool stuff to the LHS I work at.  Have to say, this is the biggest thing I've seen brought in to date.  A 1/48th scale asphalt and cement facility.  It's on it's way to its new owner.  For scaling purposes, it's being delivered in the back of a sprinter van.

Good point, LOL! Hadn't even noticed. For the sand wedge you'd want to keep that club no higher than horizontal, and the backswing is more of a pendulum motion for the chip.
