Yes, Brian.  That rig as well as the rig in the mill for getting an accurate spring rate afforded the data to know what the design dimensions should be, what the available force would be, and finally prove out that the intention was accomplished.  And I sent you two sets of spacers.  One is from clear resin and is the set I used with the stretched spring.  The gray set is the new one for the stock springs.  The new set will afford a +/-20 gram downward force on the trucks with stock springs.  With stretched springs the gray ones will probably have enough tension to make it top heavy and tip the loco in corners.

And I finished packaging and addressing 24 packages at about 4:00 this morning, fell asleep and didn't awake until 11:45.  I forgot it was Saturday so the post office closes at noon.   Therefore, I will take everything to the Post Office on Monday.  These are padded envelopes and I'm hoping that first class postage will be reasonable for a sub 1 ounce package.  One thing that surprised me was how many folks had ordered these so needed the fix!   An instruction sheet is included but I will do another video, posted in this thread, demonstrating the assembly and details.  It really is quite simple but the details still need to be correct.  

While I'm working, mine has been lapping the layout between speed step three and five for many hours now.  I love the thing!

 I suspect that percentage of the orders came from people who had no problems with this loco, but wanted to retrofit their model "just in case", because the retrofit makes sense for future reliability of the model's electric pickup.

Thanks, Pete.  I couldn't see folks laying out the kind of money these cost and then chasing an "unfixable" problem when I found a reasonable fix.  The only way I could believe that anyone was getting good, reliable performance out of one these was if there was something fundamentally different in the truck assembly.  4.2 grams per 4 wheel truck isn't running reliable anywhere on this planet.  This I know.

Hmm, maybe I did.   I'll check the e-mails.

Edit add:  Just checked the PM's and I don't see it.  There is a post somewhere up there where I requested that folks send their request in the PM's to keep them all in one place.  I then checked my emails and didn't find it.  It's possible that I deleted it if it was in e-mails.  But no problem, just send a PM with the necessary.  I've gotten two more requests today so I'll get them packaged tonight and out tomorrow.
