A freind buying the MTL mail train set is interested in a couple. I have one of the original kits but for $40 I might get another(even tho now I do the NH).

As for everybody else: don't just get the number of kits you need now, plan for the future and get 1 or 2 extra. Even if you don't need them, if it's going to be another 8 years before these kits are available I'm pretty sure if you put one on eBay after the run sells out you will get your cost back plus more.  and if you DON'T sell them, you'll probably talk yourself into building them

The very first rule I ever learned about model railroading was "if you see something come out that you think you might ever want, BUY IT. Because it probably won't be around when you decide you need it."

@GHQ , I would recommend 3D printed 2D-P5 trucks for these instead of the metal ones as IMHO they were too difficult to assemble and get good rolling resistance.  I can offer the 3D models of the Keystone Details trucks designed for resin printing or I can print them in bulk for you.

PM me for a potential deal that would likely lower the overall price if you replaced the pewter trucks with resin printed versions. I have both Friction and Roller bearing designs available immediately.

I am glad you are professionally printing the decals, I found the originals to be less than ideal and ended up using leftover Microscale decals for the non-Futura models anyway.

In for at least 4.
I think Kickstarter is a good way to do this. You can get a lot more eyes on it.
Glad to see you fixing the decals, too! I forget the exact reason, but I ended up using left over Hell Gate Models (printed by Microscale) Decals instead of the ones supplied in the kit.

I kinda agree with @Lemosteam on the trucks, too. The metal trucks you guys have are pretty damned impressive looking, but they are bendy and I've had issues running on them.

I know Kickstarter campaigns frequently feature reward tiers....things like early adopter discounts, bonus details, etc. I am not expecting anything like this, but it would be great to see bulk discounts if feasible. The PRR folks that want these are going to want several. I think I have 2 built up, and 2 more waiting. I WANT MORE! These things went everywhere, too.

@CodyO said he's going to buy 250 of them. Make sure you hold him to that!

No, I said "Ed's Law."

I got three the first time. I’d buy one or two more.

I guess I'll need one to run round and round on Pennsy Night.

Looking forward to seeing these come through.

I think that this will be done when the Kickstarter campaign is set up.  Not sure if anybody is even counting the numbers here. The Railwire forum is not that large as far as membership goes.
