I know it's about the gravel lot, but I want to revisit the track color. That track is perfectly colored. Now...put in those gap ties!

I know. I'm really happy with it.

And I did! It's really funny, there are half a dozen visible in that shot, but the ONE spot where they're out of whack being so visible shows off EXACTLY why they're so important.

Ed is it possible/feasible to hit the grout after you wet it with a roller? Or is it better to wait until dry and use your Styrofoam technique?

I'm not unhappy with it. The only problem is that I keep getting closer to ballasting...

You can divert your attention from ballasting by taking an eternity to add patches of weeds, miscellaneous debris, and puddles all across that expanse of stone.  It's way too clean!

Oh hell yeah.

Although, it WAS surprisingly clean.

But then, of course, you see something that RUINS your day.

See that on the left that LOOKED like gravel? It's actually blacktop. FML.

But gravel/stone is under blacktop, you're just building a solid base just like in real life.  Now you can pave over your gravel :D

Channeling the 3hrs with the Wellberg himself.

Small. European Style Round Paintbrush Mashed against a table for 5 minutes and dipped (Just the tip ) in matte medium and dabbed along the track with a sprinkle of mixed straw and light green 2mil should get that look.

Yeah, but the more I've looked... there's a lot of blacktop that still exists too.

It's ok, I have a plan... lol.
