Makes me think about the sound dimension beyond our locomotives.

I'm seriously considering using more sound on the RGS in the form of stationary players...particularly rushing water at Placerville, Ophir, and Gallagher where rushing streams are visible (at Rico I made the Dolores River much more placid) as well as maybe some machine shop sounds at Ridgway and the occasional hawk or eagle screech in the high country.

As for livestock sounds, I'd need sheep bleating in larger quantity than the lowing of cattle, but I'd rather have that under the stock pens than in the car.

I'm much more interested in adding the clattering sound of wooden truss-rod cars riding on arch bar trucks to my trains than animal sounds.  The narrow gauge cars make a distinct sound that's very different than the clattering of all-steel cars on roller-bearing trucks.

You know when the COVID clears, there will be someone at every train show we go to who will have one...  :scared:

And it will be obnoxiously on full volume...

Wait till the SMELL-ALONG- version huh....?

Ha ha most of the people on BLI FB seem to be confused as to what N scale even is.  :|

They could have at least painted the open slats black.

Well, the new releases of the BLI stock car are on their web page.
https://www.broadway-limited.com/stockcarswithsound.aspx

There are two NKP cars, but fortunately they don't look much like any stock cars that NKP actually had (also not all that much like actual stock cars ANYONE actually had, except maybe the plywood-lined cars that were retrofitted for grain service), so I can safely pass.   Been a long time since I didn't buy a new NKP release of anything!

I'm sorry Dave, I'm afraid I can't do that.

Ah, the infamous stock cars are back?
Someone must be buying those "things" if they keep re-running them.  They would look great on a Christmas tree among the Hallmark train-themed ornaments.  Actually some of the Hallmark ornaments make better models than that stock car.
