 Man those look good.  do you do painting on the side??. 
I have a few F units that need a good paint job.
I'll check my stash of yet unused decal sheets i bought many moons ago and see what I have.  i am currently at work, so tomorrow i'll let you know

First dome coach done.

So I'm only going to mention it because I made the same mistake.  But I think 558 is a CB&Q car and needs the sublettering in the corners.  I missed it before clear coating mine.

Oh damn!!!  I was just so excited that the three numbers were in sequence on the decal sheet.  I had checked the numbers on the other cars I have done so far to avoid this very problem.

Is it bad luck to skip to the end of the book?  Anyway, who can resist the 390 with it's wide tail stripe.  I drew it up in Silhouette and cut it out of white decal paper.

I have no idea.  It is rarely seen in any picture so I don't think it was a regular practice.

Finished the Traveller's Rest and Diner

The Great Northern's obs had a Mars light, or something similar, above the end door, which was only used for emergency stops.  For normal running the small marker lights on the sides were all that were lit.
