Diner interior. 

The dining section is a Palace Car Company resin casting.  I painted the seats a rusty brown and set the tables with paper dishes and a small glass bead vase.  the aisle section is styrene with some maroon adhesive vinyl one side and "stainless steel" on the other for the kitchen.  The second picture is a heavyweight car I did awhile ago.

This is AWESOME, Andrew.  Glad to see you tackling this great train. 

Love what you've done with the flat BCS dome diner sides.  I wished that M&R did those cars, especially if he sized them for the Kato dome core. His Budd diner sides are outstanding and have the 3D slab sides you're after.  This isn't the best angle to show, but here is one built up:


M&R 8-6-4 is also a touch better than the BCS version, if you can find one.

Love what you've done with the flat BCS dome diner sides.  I wished that M&R did those cars, especially if he sized them for the Kato dome core. His Budd diner sides are outstanding and have the 3D slab sides you're after.  This isn't the best angle to show, but here is one built up:

I've always liked your diner Mike.  I do have one of the M&R versions like yours.  I will do it soon enough.  I did the PS one as the Budds weren't delivered until a little later.

I did a paint test on an old Rivarossi baggage.  No extra details or anything special but the NP did have similar converted baggage cars so I'll find a use for it.

I made the decision to go with Tru-Color out of the bottle after much deliberation.  The dark green is very very close.  The light green is just a bit lighter than the card but i am happy with it.  I feel it scales down well to N scale, if you know what I mean, and the tones are good.

Anyone know if you can still get the M&R sides? The NCL diner is the same proto as the BN Business train diner so if I ever get around to starting/finishing that project
