Yeah once you try the tamiya stuff, you'll almost never go back. It's like doing surgery with a scalpel versus a dump truck.
What do you guys thin Tamiya with? When I use water it doesn't seem right.
I invested in a lot of Vallejo when getting back into modeling because of the convenience of the dropper bottles. However I'm not really a fan as the adhesion, durability, brushing, and spraying isn't as good as Tamiya. Plus I love the smell of Tamiya paint. Tamiya and Tamiya thinner are my go to, but I'm hoping to finally getting around to trying out some Tru-Color.
I know a lot of people on here are stuck on solvent based paints but after I learned how to paint acrylics, I will never go back. The detail that a a good acrylic paint retains is far superior to any solvent based paint.
