So glad you choose to take what I said out of context, I was referring to the FP7 which the WP did have. As I said, if they treat the E7A like they did the FP7A, then we will not see any other roads possibly other than NYC. Only other road that I know off the top of my head that single headlight E7As was PRR, though I'm sure there were others.
I was told by a Kato rep at the OKC train show that they were planning on doing other roads in the FP7 eventually.
Gotta pic?Jason
Second - GN as delivered in 1945! Western enough? (Attachment Link)
Man, I really like the as delivered scheme. Never seen that before....
Those with an accurate Empire Builder would be a hot seller!
However, the E7s were no longer in that delivery paint scheme by the time the streamlined EB cars arrived.http://streamlinermemories.info/?p=235
E-7's were never used on the Empire Builder during the "Great Dome " era. They had been transferred first to run on the "Pacific International" to Vancouver BC, didn't last long there , then to the Midwest, where they finished out their service lives later in the simplified EB paint scheme. Dome equipped Builders used F-3's and F-7"s later SDP 45 and 40's into the Sky Blue Era. Nate Goodman (Nato).
So I guess it is settled then. KATO will have to do pre dome and dome era EB’s with E, F & SDP power!
Hahaha...... Unless Hiroshi Kato just really wants a dome car in there! What he wants happens.
