Atlas February Announcements

Are out.

So this month we have two Atlas tooling with teh PS 2750 Hoppers and 17,360 tank car. We also get more ex-WKW stuff with the ballast hopper and the SEICO Pulpwood cars.

Yellow Amtrak ballast cars?

I cant find a pic or that specific car, but it seems new Amtrak MOW stuff is neon safety yellow..

I have a couple of first generation Atlas GP-35’s I need to convert to DCC so I think I’ll pass on the new releases coming out. Don’t need any of the cars either, so Mr Wallet gets a break.

Having taken a few years break from the hobby, the prices have gone through the roof on rolling stock. The detail is better, but not commensurate with the prices imho.

Mike:  Mine is too.  The GN and BN hoppers are perfect for my layout, but I have all that I need, and other expenses are more important right now.

For what it's worth, there are at least three other GN paint/lettering styles that can be done on these same cars.  Maybe Atlas can do one of them the next time.
