there are at least three other GN paint/lettering styles that can be done on these same cars.  Maybe Atlas can do one of them the next time.

I was thinking the same thing, at this point I'm just glad Atlas continues to announce new product.
I’m not here to argue

Very excited by the tank cars. They are targeting the right era for me.

Who will be the first to complain if the Amtrak ballast hopper models lack the stenciling on the truck sideframes?

Very happy to see more Clinchfield and L&N PS2750s. Can never have too many. The italic scheme L&Ns appear to be PS2960s though - are they and some of the other schemes incorrectly listed?

Cheers
Doug

I'm not sure I agree with the Pulpwood cars being in the "Master Line", but I'll likely get a couple of the ICG cars. Maybe next time they'll do GM&O to go with them.

mplsjct:  I had custom decals made and painted/lettered my own for the other three schemes.  For most people that would be a pain, so I imagine the cars would sell well, especially the "Big Sky Blue"-style.

If you download the PDF, you can view (zoom in on) the NEW or service dates: http://download.atlasrr.com/0219MCPDF/ASMCFEB19con.pdf

At a glance, it looks like the GATX is the oldest with a service date of 5-80.

I thought those GATX cars might be good for my 1984 era, but they are not.  Those cars have a LD LMT and LT WT on the left side of the car.  This makes them 1987 and up.  CAPY was dropped (no longer required) from reporting marks around the first half of 1987.  Tank cars only ever had CAPY and LT WT.  They switched to LD LMT and LT WT when CAPY’s were no longer required.  Thanks.

If those pulpwood cars are from the Walthers' tooling, I would agree with you, unless Atlas has upgraded the cars.  But, even if completely the same, they're still decent cars that would qualify as Atlas "Trainman" quality.  If I were still in N scale, I'd be in for the RF&P cars.

Announcing is one thing. Getting it produced and delivered is another.

Atlas is not Intermountain so at least we will see the models soon.

Sundowner:  I agree.  I've only had one order reserved from Atlas that ended up being cancelled, and that was two roadnames on a boxcar, with the other roads produced.  Apparently I was the only one who wanted those roads?

They may be late, due to outside forces, but Atlas does deliver.
