Hey Diezmon,

Sorry for the late response. I am using a Lifelike shell on Kato E-9 mechanism.
And - I have had it for a long time.

Thanks,

Wolf

Wolf,

What fuel tank are you using on the E8/9 chassis? Any photos?

I was thinking about 27 inches by looking at earlier shots and counting the inches on the green cutting board .

In that case it could be the Milwaukee's electric district.  I assume, on second glance, that you were marking the hole for track to go through the backdrop.  But it does look like a pair of poles, span wires, and guy wires.

Good morning Ghengis,

I used one from a BLI E-6B (I have a spare unpowered unit I bought for its wheels) - I changed out the traction tired wheel sets on a PA and E6 set with the non-traction tired wheels.

I'll get some photo's this evening of the E-7B's under body.

Thanks,
Wolf

Wolf, I too changed (some of the) TT wheels on mine. Better electrical pickup, smoother operation, plenty of power for all but brass car passenger trains. But you don't have to sacrifice a spare unit, BLI has (or at least had relatively recently) spare non TT wheelsets.

I *like* what you did to the LL shell. Very nice!

Hi Otto,

Thanks!! I didn't even think to check with BLI for extra wheels. I got a great deal on the B unit -- so, no big deal.

And -- yeah, getting rid of the traction tires made a huge difference in performance - as did taking out BLI's sound decoders and putting in ESU's.

What a great route. I read some great articles on it when I was in Washington. Seattle to Milwaukee.

Hi Wolf, I do like the ESU's, but the most recent Paragons have a lot of new features I like. The new E6's are da bomb IMHO. Come on over to see :D

Hey Otto,

Well -- I had a bad experience with BLI's customer service -- more like lack there of. So, I converted to ESU ... what a difference!! I just have a very bad taste in my mouth for BLI. I wish they would make their stuff without sound. I prefer to add my own. (If I were to add sound at all).

And -- yeah, I need to make the trek out to your place for a visit. I am looking forward to seeing your layout.
