This photo was posted on Norfolk Southern’s Facebook page today.  NS’s official photographer Casey Thomason holds up an N scale ScaleTrains GEVO  NS 3634 with the full size 3634 in the background.  Nice to see a Class One railroad that recognizes the hobby.

Besides being the official NS Photographer, Casey is an N Scale modeler. He's been ultra helpful with our east coast National N Scale Conventions, too.

Should be more grime on the rear model. Not realistic-looking otherwise.

Is he the same guy that shot the pix of the stallion running with their loco/logo a few years ago?
That was a superb photo!  Wish I could find it again.

Paul

Clod-less , no worn path anywhere , no transitional grass at ballast edge . Photoshopped

It's not photoshopped.  Or if it is, it's a damn good job.

Actually the sky line that produces the most suspect ELA.  The horse is definitely original.

LOL, my brain disagrees with the computer analysis. Not sure what you mean about the horse being original.  Yes, it is a photo of a horse - no disagreement here. But I don't think it was galloping alongside of couple of locos on the nearby track.  I could be wrong - humans often are.

If this is an actual unretouched photo then I'm very impressed.

I don't mean it's untouched, just that it's not a composite.
But, turns out it's staged and the touched part is the field.

This is the biggest size I could find of the original un-touched photo.  Just missing the dandelions.
