I've been in the process of moving to a new house over the past few weeks, so I've made little progress. But today I finally got the layout set up in the new place and took a couple shots. There's lots of natural light in the new room which is great for layout photos!

Beautiful work. Hard to believe this is such a small, simple layout. You have a great eye for visual composition.

I have finished a few more BLMA Conrail gondolas.  The decals are done and I just need to apply Dull Coat.  However, I need the weather to warm up to do that.

Caleb: your layout is beautiful.

I spent the morning assembling MTL couplers: I'll tell ya, if it wasn't for their #702 Assembly Jig, I'd still be using Rapidos!  :)

This week for me was a Tuesday visit from Jason, Dan, and Jordan from Rapido Trains with the CN and Amtrak versions of the Turbo train.  It looked good, sounded good, and ran well.  There are a few issues still to be addressed but it was interesting listening to the discussion and appreciating the effort these guys are putting into trying to get it right.

I posted a few more pics in my layout thread

You might've been wondering if ya boy could model summer like he does winter.

He can.

This is a TTRAK module I had built and started scenicing ages ago. I decided to finish it up so I could ship it off to live with my parents TTRAK empire.

I'm calling it Penn Central corner for obvious reasons.

I didn't even realize until I was posting it that the GP7 is derailed. It's very appropriate.

I built the RGS section car shed (left) and passenger outhouse (right) for Ophir from a Banta kit.  And yes, the real RGS Ophir section shed used wooden 2 x 4s for rails for the section car, LOL...

Another view of my IHC Rico Depot kit. I added a few more details today. So for those playing along at home, it’s the standard IHC kit with some Campbell shingle on the second story, Wild West Models shingles on the roof (if I had to do it again I would use their N scale shingles instead of the HO ones...they’re pretty big compared to the real thing), Grandt Line RGS eave and gable trim, some extra trim, and signs. It’s not the Raggs to Riches kit by a wide mile but I think it’ll look OK for the job.

@peteski  You should get a kick out of the detailed interior on this kit bashed 1950's corner drugstore. It's one of the prominent foreground structures on my Johnstown, PA T-TRAK module set. The inspiration came from the instruction sheet included w/Bar Mills Models "The 1 Kit". I've been slowly adding parts like the interior shelves, counters, soda fountain bar and roof made from JTT shingle sheet material. Next up are the bar stools, soda jerk, kids w/parents, signs, railings for the flat roof, etc, etc...it never ends!!
