I had a minor surgery this week, so my modeling has been minimal. All that I did was make three more trees and added some more ground cover to my N Scale Pacific Electric branch.

They must use No-Ox on those wheels, right @peteski?

Absolutely!  And it is electrically conductive!  :)

not much modelling this week but tons of MR'ing!

Wednesday I drove with friends to the Seattle area for the biannual Soundrail 2018 op event and we returned late last night.  About 80 attendees gathered for the meet I think.  It is very professionally hosted and I got a chance to meet and chat with modellers/operators from all over North America (and the world!) including TRW's Superchief.  It started Wednesday night with a visit to Kirk Reddie's.

A few of the highlights for me were...

a) Running all day Thursday on Tyler Whitcomb's new Tenino Western...just stunning scenery and it ran like a dream. (unfortunately I neglected to take photos  )

b) A long Saturday session on Jim Younkin's wonderful Mud Bay & Southern, first switching out one of his huge mills.  Here are photos of *some* of them...

then running the Consolidated logger (or "Clogger) at a blistering 10 mph back and forth across the layout between lumber camps and mills

Just heaven!

c) I received this gem as a gift from Al Frasch of Whidbey Island.  Today Al will have started dismantling his beloved Pilchuck Division as he is relocating to Arizona.  I promised Al that his dilapidated little barn will find a fitting home in the Slocan Valley

d) and finally many great chats which rounded things out

I did find time in the hotel room between meet activities to complete the framing for the Nelson freight house dock

To cap it off, on Saturday evening while driving back home we dropped in on Keith Lyon to view his impressive (and expanding) NP line...

a very good week!

The only minor surgery is an operation someone else had.  Nice work. Speedy and fully recovery !!

thanks, it was minor enough that I was kept awake through it and I am mostly recovered.

Wow Mud Bay is what Lestico's would've looked like with more scenery.

I tried my hand at my first scratch-make points, to fix up and atlas turnout that was giving me headaches.   I'm also starting to plant trees.  so far, I suck at anything non-pine. ;)

Not that bad. :)  I like what you did with the skewed bridge. Kitbash, or scratch?
