"I've been working on this ESM caboose."     Damn, I forgot I even had one! Had started to build it, then it was time to move again. Have to dig it out, and get back to work on it.

No modeling for me this weekend.  I made the trek to Todd Treaster's NYS&A.  I think I'm more impressed with the collection hanging on the wall than the layout itself.  First thing I did when I got home was show my wife and tell her she is not allowed to tell me I have too much stuff, until I get to this point.  It's amazing to see 100+ car long trains running flawlessly for hours without problems.  And for it to be in DC yet, simply awesome.

A load.  Actually I have no real idea but they never seem to end.  The project just keeps consuming more and more.  I can tell you that I have gone through close to 100 #11 exacto blades though

It was a Japanese two truss bridge kit - I think it was Green Max.

I got bored and painted up some undec shells:


B23-7 2812 is a 1989/1990 repaint with the white frame stripe. This is my first real attempt to model the environmental fallout roof rust.


CRQ is very lightly weathered.






If only MTL produced this scheme!




I still need to add final details and number board numbers. There is a minor issue with the plated window on the SW1500 that needs attention.

Very nice looking units.  You captured the “rust on the roof” look on 2812 perfectly.  Looks just like I remember.  Excellent work.

A little late to the punch this weekend but I managed to assemble one of the ESM low side gons.  Very cool little gon and a great kit.  Can't wait to see what ESM does next in this series of cars.
