To me, the most logical locos Atlas would do next would be:

1.  U30B or U28B.   They already have the chassis and some of the shell parts.   I've really been waiting for these.

2.  GP39-2 in maybe a Trainman series.   I need FOUR.

I could go for a U28B or a U33B. Maybe they could do the GP18 finally with LL out of the game.

Wouldn't be surprised if Atlas offers the GP39-2 and the Genset, both of which could be a great sellers in N.  As much as I would like to see the RS32/RS36 I just don't think that it will be something that really would sell all that well in N... just not enough roads to make them worthwhile though I still can hope...

I lobbied Scale Trains for an SD40-2, and they said it has not been ruled out.

They need to take a closer look at the way grab irons are on locomotives... their grabs stick out way to far and need to be addressed.  Even the turbines suffer from the same thing and it makes an other wise fine model look wrong... and that in a big way. The N scale crew members definitely don't need enough room to stick their durn heads through the grab. Address this and then maybe I would consider their models worth something...

The prototype is a Gunderson (of course) 48' All-Purpose well car chopped-down to 40'.   The TTX wells have had their hitch plates removed:

I posted this elsewhere but the Madaboutcars shapeways designer is upgrading all his cars to now be 2 piece models. The car shells will now include windows and the bodies will have interiors.

Include windows? Do you mean the windows, as he started doing (with separate interiors) a few months back, will be open or do you mean he is including a clear window insert?

This is why I dislike manufacturers announcing upcoming announcements   

 I'd love to see some good pics of the new Walthers building, anybody get any?

Would be nice (heck, I would buy one or more just because...) but I suspect Athearn and not Atlas is the one to talk too since they are the One who is doing it in Horribly Oversized.

Except that Athearn does far fewer locos in N, and hasn't done anything close in N, and can't reuse any existing tooling.  But yeah, this is all speculation anyway...
