The Atlas RPO window pattern is a better match and I'm hoping the Atlas baggage will have a 6' door.  If so, I'll give it a shot.  The roof has different rounding than the MTL car, worse case, I can print it.

Not possible to do.  The horse car has a deeper letterboard than the RPO car making the use of parts together with each other difficult not impossible to do.  What is interesting about the RI car is that it has two section letter boards above the doors which would require sectioning and reassembling letterboard parts to create the appropriate look (maybe done with sheet styrene and Archer rivet decals???) but we are talking about doing it in N-scale which is extremely challenging to do.  Making the correct cuts would be a nightmare.

The Atlas model is a full RPO car so there is no 6' doors.  Both of the doors should be 30" or so based on most prototypes.

I probably shouldn't stick my nose into someone else's 3 car kitbash, but for 753, you might want to look at sides made by USP for the similar SP 5219 rebuild.  Some archer rivet decals and a beltrail.  No doubt not exact, but might get closer than chopping up several MT cars.

USP keeps adding cars- but I won't let myself buy more sides until I get more done- between M&R, USP, BCS, LH and even a couple of JnJ, I must have 50 left to work on.

Great idea!  The prototype was rebuilt from a parlor car and was roughly 83' long... the sides, while fragile, could be a great place to start for such a conversion.  Maybe using Bear Metal Foil for the letterboard and beltrail to make them stick out more, using more for the narrower pieces above the doorways... could be doable!!!

The cars were never intended as Master Line cars so I have no idea where the info from the sign came from.  And we didn't get costing for the deco schemes until the past month, so there was no way any pricing should have been announced in February.

It seems like some of the factories fill parts orders out of what is leftover from production.  We do try to tell them what we need and why we need them, especially on a new item when we don't know what parts may get damaged through shipping or use.

We are meeting next week  with the managers of the factory that will be producing this car, so we will have the spare parts discussion with them in person.

But they're not single window.

The open deck observation car is single window.  You could fill in the observation deck with plastic and a door.  You would have to add steps. 

In fact, you  might be able to cut up two observation cars and butt the vestibule ends together to make a full size single window coach.  You can get decals to letter a CNJ coach or club car in either the Railroad Roman or the post WWI font.  CNJ ran single window coaches.

You could even butt together the observation ends, add a few items and make a Boonton coach.   If you do not mind two windows' missing, you could cut up the vestibule end, do some shortening to the observation deck and make a Boonton coach, that would be about five scale feet too short, that way.  Then, you could also cut up either the RPO or the baggage and the observation to make a Boonton passenger/baggage or passenger/mail.  Does anyone sell Delay, Linger and Wait passenger car lettering?  For the head end cars, you would need BAGGAGE/US MAIL RPO/REA lettering, as well.

I am assuming that the head end cars are those based on the CNJ prototypes.  There is a train store in Jersey, it might be called Tom's Trains, or something like that, that does sell CNJ passenger car lettering, in both the old style Railroad Roman and the newer, post-World War II fonts.  It does only coach and club cars, though.  There is no head end or RPO lettering.  The later Southern font is similar to the CNJ post WWII font, but I am not aware of anyone who sells Southern passenger car lettering for coaches or head end cars.  The guy in New Jersey sells them on his FeePay store. I bought some from him, I am just too lazy to run upstairs and look at the name, now.  I hung the newer font lettering on a RR baggage car.  It just has to do without the BAGGAGE lettering.

The coach and combine are the same CNW prototypes that B-mann used to sell.  Unlike the Bachpersonn (and the Lima/MP), the open deck observation is not the coach with the vestibule on one end swapped out for an observation deck.  I wonder what the prototype is for that one.  CNJ?--EDITORIAL NOTE:  Found my answer on the Springfield Show topic.  The open deck observation is based on a CMJ prototype.  J.M. LaBoda did remark that the O scale version is shortened.  I wonder if the N scale is, too.  The prototype photograph that someone provided suggests that the prototype was a shorty, as well.  The eighteen passenger windows on the prototype photograph, plus the two bathroom windows match the model.    Was the thing always painted for the Blue Comet, or did it ever run in Pullman Green with standard CNJ lettering?  One of the CNJ sets does have car names.  I can not quite make out the car name, though.  It appears to be "TEMPEL" or "TEMPAL".

I am glad to see this.  While I have managed to bash a few cars from B-mann or RR or even Lima/MP, these will offer more possibilities.  I have yet to try cross-bashing of anything, though.
