Thanks Mark,
I was following all those threads pretty closely, but missed that underbody shot clearly showing the couplers. 
Oh well, I was probably going to redo the couplers to MT scale ones anyway, so I suppose not that big a deal to body mount them.

Are these 60' between bulkheads where cars with vestibules are longer than a car like the RPO or are they measured from somewhere else?

A bigger question for @Atlas Paul , will there be parts?  I can see a few possible kitbashes, but not at $36 a car.

They are measured by the furthest part of each end, known as the "buffer"... their overall length was either 63' 2" or 63' 3" depending on the series involved.

Well then the 60' is probably more of a rough dimension as just the RPO compartment should be 60'.

Bummed about the molded mail catchers.  But I think with an RPO and a baggage, I can make a try for RI 753 for the Zephyr Rocket.

Sounds like me trying to get undecorated Atlas cars.  I order them, but then the distributor may or may not fill it.

If that is the case, can I put in a preorder for all the baggage and RPO cars damaged in shipment or otherwise factory seconds (assuming a healthy discount, of course)?

But seriously (although I would be interested in either parts or the odd car that falls off the shelf), thanks for making some passenger cars.  Looking forward to the release.
