Jason:  This may be in a previous topic I missed, but is this car based on Mike's artwork, or is it "inspired" by his layout?  I know the herald and style is his, but is this specific car series?

If it is his, do you know what the actual series is, if anyone wants more than 2?

I got mine today, Well Actually saturday, but I wasn't able to pick them up until this morning. They look Great, I can't wait to run them.

Thanks for the response and offer Jason , but it was probably my fault in filling out your form . I think I will renumber one of them ( but what # would be cool for Mike and be in the series ? ) . In the mean time I ordered the other car # 2016 . Jason , please let the order stand as is , as any monetary loss to Mikes fund or Rapido would result in bad karma . Thanks again .

Package showed up in today's mail with the cars.  Love the note included, as others have mentioned.  Hard to believe over $15,000 just from a train car.

Dear Rapido Supporter,

We want to thank you once again for your display of support during this trying time.  We all miss Mike greatly and we hope that these gons will help his legacy linve on, even a little bit, on layouts everywhere.

We're happy to report that with your help we've managed to put aside almost $15,000 for Sam's university education.  It really means a lot to us and to his family that there are so many people in this community who really care about him.

Mine arrived in today's post.  I only ordered the 1964, since Mike and I share that date of origin...  He was always a sport and supported my Laurel Valley car runs, so I couldn't resist the opportunity to return the favor to him and to Sam.
