Could have been used to melt ice in switches.  Cinders do a good job of keeping the weeds down.  Just an alternative.

If Atlas ever makes a track cleaner out of the 4-4-0, I expect a royalty.   Just sayin.   You put a vacuum in that second tender and you're there.

I've been working on the grain elevator for the new/rebuilt layout.I have all the storage yard track installed missing ties filled in ,and ready for some rail painting Starting on or about May 22nd.

Starting tomorrow I will be working on getting the room cleaned out where the Z layout is going (right next to this layout)

Anywho, here is a pic showing the current status of the grain elevator.

More fencing, this time a wire fence built from two sizes piano wire and some metal mesh.

Been working more with the Central Valley Tie strips.  Hopefully I'll get to my camera today and start getting some pictures along with a few things to report.

That looks niceeee!

I've finished the first couple of fascia control panels for the switches on the railroad that are hand-thrown and feature an electric time lock. Pretty happy with how these turned out!
