First shots of MTL Airslide Hopper

Here is a quick shot of the first shot.  I dropped it so the lip is a bit bent and excuse the paint, got it a bit thin and dry, but you get the idea.  :D We should have the rest of the parts in a few weeks.

Cheers

Gozer the Traveler. He will come in one of the pre-chosen forms. During the rectification of the Vuldrini, the traveler came as a large and moving Torg! Then, during the third reconciliation of the last of the McKetrick supplicants, they chose a new form for him: that of a giant Slor!

I'm tempted to be a smart aleck and say that the rivets are too big and the grooves between the boards are too wide, but I won't  :D

Mostly I'm disappointed that it's just a little too modern for the era I'm modelling, 'cause it looks really good!

I'm sorry Dave, I'm afraid I can't do that.

 :?
isn't this the car that Delaware Valley done around 1990 ?
so why the Duplication when Trans-Flows or other GATC designs
have never been done yet ?
actually the Trans Flow would be a good model for Eastern to
  attack.
be nice for MT to do a True 100 Ton truck of some sort.

 :?
even the Original 4180 with the 4 tall ladders would be a
  different looking,but same model.
but it probably will never be made in any scale in plastic.

Looks good Joe! Thanks for taking the time to share an early view. The roofwalk does have good relief. About when would the first release be?

Joe is that evidence of Body mounted couplers and separate walk over platforms I see?

The car looks very nice and is a welcome replacement for the outdated and downright ugly Delaware Valley car.

The Hiawatha Ave elevators are getting harder and harder to resist!

This question should not even have to be asked, but will it ride at the correct height?

What material is the roofwalk, plastic or something else?  Seems the end platforms will be separate detail parts.  Celcon plastic or etched?

Is that final tooling or can/will changes be made from what the photo shows?
