Maybe Rapido can be talked into changing the roof and releasing a brine car? It would be a first, a bold move away from ice bunker cars !Randy
These are MTL couplers, not clones, so the spring is most likely the culprit. Stretch it out or replace it, that should correct it. I noticed the same symptoms on one of mine, a "lazy" spring.
Rapido's most current email newsletter mentions not one but TWO "N scale mystery locomotives" under development at their factory...Geoff
Just got my first batch of reefers . You know I was admiring them while venting the factory and I totally forgot about the gaps until the 4th or 5th car . Point is the gaps didn't stand out , or is that suck in , or just suck in general to be offensive . It was just a un jointed brain fart of the thread that had me look for the gully's of despair . Here is a groovy shot I just ordered more .
I wonder if we're seeing a shiplap or tongue-and-groove type of siding with v-grooves at the joints, making the seams appear larger.DFF
