Your original post seemed to have a slight tone of making an excuse about your "messy" workbench. My comment was a humorous attempt to let you know that you shouldn't be ashamed of a messy workbench.   It is ok not to always have a pristine work workbench.

I got the humor, the good news is I finished installing Micro trains Z scale couplers on about 40 of my interurban cars. The workspace has cleaned up some but now I need to install glazing on the whole fleet of 175 cars. At least I should be able to see my workbench through the piles of clear glazing material .

Let me also tell you that with English being my second language, learning about puns was not an easy thing to do.

Several photo's of my models are on his page as well.

My primary focus is the Milwaukee Road passenger trains of the Korean war vintage but without the interurbans it wouldn't look right. I think by including them I can really set the era.

I've had a lot of exposure to the real North Shore equipment and employees many years ago so it was a natural choice to include them when they became available on Shapeways. I did a lot of work to them in order to get them looking good and I'm somewhat pleased by the results. Not too many people have an Electroliner in N scale !!! I have two.

Peteski:  I think English is one of the few languages where puns are common.  It comes from, as one linguist said, English being "not a language, but a vocabulary looking for a language".  We've borrowed both words and grammar from so many sources that almost anything goes.

As another linguist said, looking at the number of synonyms and syntaxes in English, it's probably the easiest language in the world to speak, and the hardest to speak right.  One can almost always find a word for what one wants to say, and they can be arranged in so many ways, and still make sense, that the almost random "rules" are usually ignored.

But since it was forced upon us, and since we didn't have warm-and-fuzzy feelings towards out Eastern Big Brother comrades, most of us barely passed the classes. Plus that was over 30 years ago and I haven't really been keeping up with it. So, Я действительно не говорят по-русски.

Neah - it just says that I don't really speak Russian.    When I hear a Russian conversation I can sometimes get the gist of it, and I can read some Cyrillic, but I don't really consider myself familiar with the language.  I suppose that if I got back into it, I could probably pick it up again (since there are some similarities to Polish language and I did have to take it in school it for about 4 years).  But I really don't feel the need to do it at this point in my life.
