Got quite a bit of fascia and backdrop work finished on one side of the layout this weekend. I love when a plan comes together!  :D

Wow, Scott, Nice job on the Tug! also E-L #2 is cool. I'm glad that your recovery is going well.
Busy weekend for me getting ready for the NTS Portland this week.
I've been going over my N-Trak and oNetrak Modules fixing stuff and touching up the paint.
Started here on Friday


Put new signals on GO Tower 2ftr with magnetic mounts so the clods won't break them off again.


Freshened up the water and touched up the white specks in the rocks on Roaring Brook Corner.


Cleaned up and touched up Wimmers Station 4ftr


Then Sunday with the help of Mike V (Delamaize) and T Woods got all of this......


Stuffed in here.


Next stop Portland Expo Center !

Those are some really nice modules. And the idea of using magnets for holding the building in place...great!

No modeling for me but I did stumble across a NS excursion at Jim Thorpe while stretching the legs of my new VW, running a NKP Berk.  Wife has the pics, because I was driving...

X600: HATE your garage. How do you get any work done with it being that clean and organized? Next thing you'll be saying is that you park CARS in it as well!  :D

Painted and detailed 5 Atlas GP38's for Spokane Portland & Seattle.  The SPS had 6 of these on order at the time of the merger into BN. They came painted in the BN paint. I model mid to late 70's and the BN merger never happened. My take on what they would have looked like.

Steve, Very nice. I've been a long distance fan of the "Northwest's own Railway" for quite some time. One of the nice things about model railroading is, what if's. I always liked the looks of the ALCO Centuries in the Green and yellow scheme and I think your GP38's look great in the Freight scheme as well, very nice.

I grew up with the SP&S, in Pasco, and they look fine to me.  What do you use for the yellow paint?

I don't NEED one, as I doubt that they ever made it to Montana, but a good C636 with Hi-Ad trucks would be nice.  I'd buy two - SP&S and BN.  Extra points if they come with a smoke generator.  The closest I ever saw to a steam loco on the BN was going home from work one night - 4 am.  Looking down Lewis Street, to the railroad, I saw the train go by, with a towering column of smoke and sparks.  I finally caught up with it at the yard, a couple miles away.  Nope, not a steamer, just a C636 leading a mixed consist.  From the noise it was doing at least its share of the work, so must not have had anything serious wrong.

I used Tru Color SPS yellow and SPS Green. I am modeling western montana and wanted to have some SP&S locos show up from time to time. Might throw a WP loco with them too. I'm happy with how they turned out.

SD452XR:  Thank you.  Those are the first modeler-painted SP&S units I've seen that actually look right.  Most seem to be too yellow.

I've never tried Tru Color paints, and as far as I know, nobody in my area carries them.  I also don't have an airbrush, or room to use one, and haven't heard anyone mention brush painting with them, so hesitate to order any.
