@Lemosteam , Any interest in doing an N8?

I just watched two brass N8 ebay auctions the past couple of weeks, one went for $103 and the other for $87. Actually there was a third, but can't recall the price.

Well out of my personal Era, and there is certainly enough dimensional information out there, we'll see how the Stillwell project goes.  Folks will likely want a high end solution, particularly the platform rails and ladder.

Maybe a ways off.

Only if they get the dimensions right, unlike the previous two cabin cars.

Amen. I'm glad I've got my N5s and N5C, but I really wish they were on par with the, and I can't believe I'm going to say this, the Bachmann NE Standard cars.

The 3rd one went for $57.  I'm kicking myself for not bidding more on that one.  I just won the one for $87.  There is another one as a buy it now for $135.

I asked the Bowser rep about an N-8 at Trainfest in Milwauke a couple years ago and he said probably not because of the limited number of road names.

Although Bowser is doing it in HO.

Congrats.     After the $103, I figured the third was going to blow up.

Besides brass, I think shapeways is going to be the only other option for the N8.

I have one of the brass ones that I got back years ago when they were first imported, and I'd quickly modernized it for Conrail duty.  I had painted it with the new (at the time) Badgers flex paint and was not happy with the finish.   Dug it out of the project box a few months ago and Scott Lupia sandblasted the paint off for me.  I'll get around to repainting it at some point.

Getting closer. Talk about a hyped build up.   

Facebook post at 11:10AM ==> Well, it's official. N scale M1a's will be arriving stateside TONIGHT. Distribution is imminent!

So, stateside tonight, 3-4 days until BLI gets them in FL? Then another week until they hit the distributors? and a week after that until they hit the hobby shops?  So... May?
