ok fine.

clip the rear driver
whittle the rear deck of the tender
clap a trix shell over it
and screw the kw truck from BLI up under the fire box

it'll be good!

BTW FEF parts are in stock at Kato Parts store.  The motor is $25. Drivers are $15/set. Let the feeding frenzy begin.

dunno how I missed this earlier.

I have ordered a motor.  we shall see.

So...  The seven troll faces didn't somehow indicate that the post was meant as a parody?   :?

like the pull my finger joke....
some people are tired of it.

I usually ask. "Have I ever have hold you my favorite joke?"

shoe factory burned to the ground last night!
two hundred soles were lost!

the groans are what I live for....

talladega nights:  Ricky you can't just say whatever you want even if you say with all due respect in  front of it.
well it went something like that.

and I agree with Victor. The funny part is this is the ONLY  place I see whiners whinning about a lame4  anyways. that should bring in sales numbers just about as good as the fef  right? lmao

Hi draskouasshat,

I do want a nice new shiny dark green pin striped prr k4s...
and I can understand not wanting to hear yet more on the subject.

your post got me to thinking about sales of any engine.
If sales volume or time to "sold out" is the measure...
I can think one would state that Kato's FEF is successful.

I have very little doubt that ANY model loco in n-scale
would sell quickly if it ran like the FEF does.
the UP road name is not all the magic in the sales.

when kato makes a PRR E6s like this.... it will sell.

we all have our dreams.

I used to tire of the unrelated-to-the-topic K4 garbage that always pops up but then I hit breaking point.

Now I hope it has to go on for 20-30 more years.   :)

I think the K4 will happen as a Bachmann DCC/Sound locomotive.  I also think this is what's kept anyone else from trying.

Do the loco manufacturers have a secret meeting where they agree not make something another is working on.
There is generally not much duplication.
