Glad I didn't need anymore.  I kinda knew when I posted this they would go fast.  I still have a couple unfinished kits and abut 8 of the  PRR 2D-P5 trucks.  And, YES, I could go for a few R50 reefers.

Bob and All,
A modeller on the PRR N Scale Group has shown a completed model of the R50b Reefer.

I have been trying to get an update on the production of the model but there have not been any answers. Production is supposed to be through GHQ.

From what I saw they looked pretty darn good so far.

Just got my Doug/ClausPack! I've got enough of these kits sitting around that I'm running out of excuses not to build them. (Up to now it's been "I want to paint a bunch of stuff at the same time".) I guess it's about time to find some time to build car kits.

Hey Al, aren't those the pre-production photos of the GHQ kit?
 EDIT: I'm a dumb dumb that can't read Australian.

Is American Limited still in business? Didn't they stop making diaphragms, too?

Glad I could be of assistance to some of you.  I know these are cars that lots of you were looking for and not just us pennsy freaks here.  Kits are easy to do and paint and the supplied decals are great.  Hoping they put out another batch soon.

ALM is now owned/operated by San Juan Car, which specializes in O scale standard and narrow gauge products.  The intent is to reissue all of the ALM product line, but there has been no set time table.  Unfortunately they won't be in Springfield, but you can reach them through their website or the ALM website to ask if they have an update on availability.

The GHQ R50b has been rumored, for what 2 years now?  :-X  It's starting to enter vaporware status. If GHQ does it fine, but I believe Hellgate could do an excellent job as well. I'd just like to see it get done.

 :facepalm:   That sucks!  Sorry to hear this, it would have been a natural addition to the other cars. Hopefully something else is up your sleeve.

+1 and another thanks to Doug to answering my questions and processing my order.

I would also add that HGM should go ahead with the R50b.  If GHQ has not been able to bring this to market since it was announced 2 years ago, I would consider it fair game now.
