Unless you're looking for a CP rebuilt R18u, True Line already made the RS-10 and RS-18 in N. They are really hard to find now as most seem to have found homes.

I can't say anything except that if we do something in HO it increases the chance of it coming out in N later...

Since the LAL/BH/WNYP group picked up two RS-18u's I now need (well, want) a couple.

Yes this. Fill a niche only Atlas and MT have been willing to fill (maybe Fox Valley too). C'mon. Steam is cool too.
Is there a spot on the site to see old email newsletters without signing up. A try before you buy. That's a big (GOOD USER focused) trend right now. You let the user have a sample of the email newsletter that gets sent and the end user has a better idea on what they are signing up for.

Well in that case, I'll take a 1955 GN Empire Builder, being many of the BN Executive cars came from EB cars.

I don't remember that conversation.  We'll happily do complete foobies if that what's people want!   

The foobies are a necessity to pay the bills, I'm afraid.  It's up to you whether or not they are "close enough" to go on your layout.  If we didn't do foobies, we would never have been able to do the Canadian Car & Foundry coaches in N or HO.  We just don't sell enough in accurate paint schemes to cover our costs.

I just got an email from the factory telling me the cost of our HO scale Park Car has gone up by 90% since our last run a year ago.  We're now fighting about that, as it would make the cars unprofitable.  I'm confident we can come to some arrangement.

These are the headaches we deal with regularly in running a model train business.  So the more we can sell - foobies or no - the better.
