I don't want to rain on the Rapido love fest, but does anyone else see the $60 per car for the Osgood Bradley cars a bit too high?  I am an avid New Haven fan, and the price point will certainly lower the overall sales of this.

They are only up $5 from the current panorama line cars, and quite frankly as a B&M/MEC/BAR modeler I am quite happy with the MSRP just to be able to get RTR Osgood Bradley cars. I would be just as happy to pay that much for the MEC/B&M Stainless Steel coaches and combines.

I suspect that is what it costs now to produce narrow market products.  These would sell a fraction of the numbers a typical freight car would, and as Jason indicates earlier in this thread, there are price pressures from the factory.  Not easy to swallow $60, but I assume these will be of a similar high standard that their other products have been.

The higher price was expected.  It shouldn't deter sales much.  The street price will be much less and people have been waiting for a model of this prototype for a long time.

I just went to have a look at what these guys are doing but to get there they want my email. You want my dollars open up you mind. I am not going to become the recipient of all you spam just to look at your news.

Al; you dont need to sigh up for anything on our website unless you want receive our newsletter - many modellers find it informative and rather funny. We wont spam you but it's your decision. You can cruise our site without signing up.

Agreed. I bought as many as I could find, but what slays me is that they didn't do the RS-18 in the multimark. Have been hoping for another run as well, but seems like they've forgotten they have the tooling.

The fact that Rapido is looking to get into the UK market is fantastic.
...that is, as long as it's N gauge. And pre-1968! :D (preferably pre-1948)
