According to my old Walthers catalogs, GHB's two brass imports (gas-electric and interurban) listed for around $170. Of course, mechanically-speaking, things were just a skosh more primitive back in the 80's :facepalm:

Odd that there's not a peep about this project on GHB's website. Then again, said website is damned near as primitive as mine, so perhaps webspertize in not in their canon  :P

Not so fast.  You can always buy a Postal Money Order.  They are as good as cash and anybody who takes cash or checks
will surely take them.  All you have to do is show up at the Post Office with $600+ in cash and they will happily print one up for you.

I know that this engine is in brass by a sketchy manufacturer, but Hey, its a start to me. I hope GHB does well with this release. I may or may not buy some, but the quantity I need may be killed by the price.

Guess I'm gonna have to bite on at least one.  I do want more info on price before I do.   Also, did not know they were out of MD not really that far from me.

Hopefully, as an importer, GHB will have the model manufactured by one of the well known brass manufacturers, not by some Mickey Mouse outfit.

Pay $600 bucks for a brass L1 or buy a GHQ pewter L1 and hire someone to assemble and paint it... hmm... wonder which one will actually be cheaper???

While I hope that they garner enough orders that they will consider other steamers such as the K4 among others their choice for a first offering is rather curious.  Just don't know...

I probably have about $250 tied up in my L1 between the GHQ conversion and the Kato mech plus having a guy in Omaha DCC it up for me.
