I spoke wih Matt at FVM about the H30's.  He said these should be out in Q1 2014.  I mentioned this could be offered in multiple schemes.  I was surprised he did not have a pre-production model to show if this will be out in Q1. 

Thanks for the update...  I would expect if delivering in the next 4 months we should hear about schemes any day now.

I would think that pilot models will be on display at the Springfield show in January, and if not, an announcement on a revised release schedule.

Those canstock cars are awesome! will be in for 2 each of the B&O and Chessie  and the wagon top cabooses will hurt the wallet! Thanks to FVM for the B&O love.

Those 3-D Railroad Art locos look pretty cool.   I'm not SURE it would be for me, but maybe someday if I had a nice layout and some type of entry room.   I'm almost afraid to ask...what was the price on these?   I would want a BN Grinstein SD70MAC if I had that choice.

The sign on the backdrop said $195 for the locos and $55 for the heralds. That may have been a show price, but even if a little more costly after-the-fact, still surprisingly affordable. While I think the loco face is the type of thing that would overwhelm a room instantly, I do like the look of the heralds. Should put a couple on my Christmas wish list.

Duly corrected, Gary. Still... if you drill down on the Stoddarts site, you can't buy the heralds through the site, there's correspondence involved. So the heralds are more-or-less a train show item if you're looking for immediate gratification. I also noticed that Schrader's had loco faces - like SP 4449 - that the direct site did not.

I'm also slightly puzzled about the lack of other famous Western steam, such as 3751, 844 and 3985. Those would be naturals. I could conjecture that the process of collecting reference photos to the specs they need to build the CAD may rely on firsthand survey, and being based in Atlanta I suspect they haven't ventured far enough West.
