I *finally* finished the Kettle River bridge.  In an attempt to make a static scene more "dynamic", a video of the first Boundary wayfreight to cross it.

I made this truly magnificent concrete retaining wall out of cardboard.  It stands an astounding 32 scale feet tall, and spans an almost unbelievable 80 scale feet in length!  Step right up! 



Great work on that bridge.  Nice to see the progress of the build.

That does look great. I am just thinking of my soon to start layout and how I am going to replicate the cut just east of Huntingdon, PA with that a typical slanted rock face. Things like your wall and that rock cutting are really what makes a layout Pennsy.

Mark, that looks great. I actually have something to post for once:

Here's a cheap (hell, I may have been paid to take it, lol) loco, I fixed up:


I also messed with some BN locos. This pair of C30-7s now has anti-climber and the correct stideframes, and a working beacon in 5127 (5533 has QSI sound, and has no way to make it work other than via a function decoder). I also painted the cut levers so they weren't green (pics show them as black with white ends):




Also here is 1 of 2 proto 2000 GP38-2s that has a working beacon.



This is a caboose I got from the train depot/museum/hobby shop in milton for $7 [8D]. After a little bit of paint work, I got this:



And then, there is these guys. Just something to get my F-unit fix and run at the club:


most of these locos still have some more parts I'm going to add, so stay tuned.

Built several "lots" and parking areas in one of my towns using different materials in order to give each lot a different look... like in real life.

Mark, that is beeee-utiful! You're squeezing every bit of N scale's potential out of it: beautiful models, beautiful scenery, uncrowded settings....just excellent modeling all around. What an inspiration!

nothing much from me lately.  I did get a coat of primer on a Kenworth T800 cab from Shapeways.  This is my latest model.  With all of this focus on trucks lately, I keep forgetting that this hobby is trains.  I'll get back to that someday....

I also have a black Pete that is almost done.  Just missing the grill.

That sugar cube might not have been such a good idea.
