nothing much from me lately.  I did get a coat of primer on a Kenworth T800 cab from Shapeways.  This is my latest model.  With all of this focus on trucks lately, I keep forgetting that this hobby is trains.  I'll get back to that someday....

I also have a black Pete that is almost done.  Just missing the grill.

Love the 8" straight pipes and the angry brow sunshade. Super nice details!

I'm almost ready to order up more etched coupler pockets, so anyone who is interested in getting some to try out please see the body-mount coupler thread for details:

Here is a drawing of what the frets will look like:

Thanks for looking!

Ed, I had to do a little digging because I thought that a similar coupler pocket was used in the NZT coupler posts but wanted to be sure... have send a PM.

Mark, I have followed your progress from the beginning and I really love what you have accomplished with your bridge work... simply a thing of beauty!!!

I did not do any modeling, but I received my FVM Pennsy Heritage Unit and a book on Harrisburg trolleys.

That sugar cube might not have been such a good idea.

Huh? What sugar cube?

If N scale had good SD40-2s, C30-7s, U30Cs, SD45s, SD40s, and SW10s; I'd be in N scale.

The cricket jumps across the room onto the other pad.

Marc,
The centipedes run great.  Are there photos of what you did inside?

Looking great! Were these from scratch or were they a remotor job? What was the base loco? Who made Centepedes in N?

I did not do any modeling, but I received my FVM Pennsy Heritage Unit and a book on Harrisburg trolleys.

Mine shipped today! SOOO EXCITED to have it pull the Broadway Limited!

Is there a way to multiquote without pasting another quote in a post?

Alternate version:
Ed Kapucinski
Every night, he plants a new tree.
He asks excitedly "Did you say Ménage à Trois?"
No, I said "Ed's Law."

Went to National Train Day at Union Station.  NS had thier Veteran and OLS engines along with some business cars and private cars open for tours.  Amtrak had some Amfleets and Superliners while MARC and VRE brought up MP36s and a coouple cars.  THe NS exhibit car had HO versions of all the Heritage units on display.
Can't model worth a darn, but can research like an SOB.

Really? You don't get the reference? How about working on your camera focus. Great job on the hardware but I felt like I was trippin' looking at your shots.

Last time I showed the IH Loadstar it looked like this:

I replaced the grill with a portion of U25B walkway tread, removed the styrene from the roof and smoothed out the fender flare. I am using pins as headlights, they still need to be painted with several coats of gloss and glued in, but that will wait until the cab is painted. I still have to fix a small chip below the IH badge on the front.

You seem to feel abysmal take it
Then you're careful grace for sure
Kinda like the way you're breathing
Kinda like the way you keep looking away

These are a couple of Hallmark Centipedes as produced somewhere during the 80s or 90s. They were originally made by KMT from Japan and hardly ran at all. Inside there is a completely new mechanism.
