First world problems...

As for the BNs, of course, being I bought a bunch of the first run of mid production units, and then went and repainted the cabs and frame stripes to the "standard" scheme.  But gonna get the BNs, and maybe a UP and CNW

I actually wouldn't have minded a pair of them.

It is somewhat tiring watch Kato play the same old road game, though at least they did the mid-production for IC this time (not that I need any).

Disappointment:

- no CP (or any CDN for that matter)
- no CR (I mean, come on, it's not like any of these are 100% accurate so just do it for Christ sake)
- no MP... hello, they had a massive fleet
- related to MP, no non-DB... sigh

Best thing I can say is that at least there'll be a deeper pool of cores available in the supply chain. Need a CP fleet and, though one hears rumours that someone is going to do CP SD40-2's, I've heard nothing for some time.

Thank God they did PanAm for the three people that model the airline.

Well, I'm happy. Thank you KATO! CNW stuff sells well, glad folks are starting to catch on.

Whilst disappointed they didn't do a Horsehead with ditch lights these CNW units are perfect for a South Dakota prairie layout i have milling around in my head.

No undecs listed     When the last run of U30C's out I believe it was the same way.  They do show of undec U30C shells listed in the parts page of their website.  Wonder if there will be undec shells available for the -2's when they hit the shelves?

If anybody wants to "build" an undec, I'll buy a BN shell from you for the price of an undec shell plus shipping.   So you'd have a mech with black trucks and fuel tank and (eventually) an undec shell.

If they were going to do still more UP, why not make it the SD40M?  That at least would be something we could run on a modern layout.

If they had come out with Illinois Central and MoPac and high hood Southerns (not a chance in hell), I'd be strongly tempted to change my era from 1971 to 1972.
