Not much modeling from me this week, I only got some parts for Peteski (say thank you to some german modelers) and now I try to find out how Windows 8 works on my notebook...oh, and I hope that my lovely wife allows me to buy that nice digicam...

Thanks David . I used to think the grass was greener there Lee . I will have to find somebody else to envy now . Unless this was by design I am truly sorry for the situation you have gone through and will face in the future . The fact that you are talking layout means you see the light at some point .

My next bridge is actually nearly finished...the highway 93A bridge which parrallels the Slocan Bridge.  Then on to the Kettle River bridge...all 550' scale feet of it!

Yesterday involved planting the slide switches for my new Onetrak module, and today was full of backbreaking labor helping Lee transplant part of the WM.

Neither are photo worthy, but both were neccessary.

Wow David, Lewistown Junction looks fanatastic!  I know this will be a wonderful addition to Dave's already amazing looking layout.   

The word for this week again was, drum roll please, Trees!  Nothing spectacular or amazing about planting trees, but they are non-the-less necessary to fill up my mountain.  I did learn how tobetter layer and add depth using my trees in spaces less than 1 to .5  an inch in width.  I will say I was a bit worried how I was going to go about it before I started.  Here are a few pics of my progress so far. 

Decided to let my L&N MP-15DC stretch its legs this week and pull a small run of coal cars around the layout.





Even ran some modern trains and cars just for the heck of it.

I'm really loving that layout!  The rockwork and trees are among the best I've ever seen.  And then BAM!  Those weathered cars on the modern train are really good too!

Three RH trusses done, another started in the jig, three more total to go. The ALMOST right triangle braces, being 1/8th inch thick come out of the chopper as only "sanding ready". Will have the fingers for safecracking after sanding, since I'm sure my fingerprints will be gone by the time the trusses are done. But the ATSF Bakersfield model is still moving forward. Robert

I finally got back at the Milwaukee Erie built project today.
Added the rear details and actually got some paint splashed on it.

That's the plan.
I also did a proof of concept for operational two colored classification lights and a new method for the stainless nose grill too.
We'll see.
